Chase Gwynn enters his third season as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Central Bible University in 2026.

In his second season, Gwynn led the Saints to one of the most successful campaigns in program history. Under his leadership, the Saints finished the 2025 season with a 17-4-2 overall record while earning a berth in the NCCAA Division II National Championships. The national tournament appearance marked just the second trip in school history and the program's first since 2008.

The Saints put together one of the nation's most impressive stretches during the season, compiling a 17-match unbeaten streak from September 27 through November 18, with the streak ending in the Saints' second match of the national tournament.

For his efforts, Gwynn was named the NCCAA Division II Central Region Coach of the Year, recognizing the remarkable turnaround and continued growth of the Saints program.

The 2025 season also saw several individual accomplishments under Gwynn's guidance. Baraka Grodya earned NCCAA Division II First Team All-American honors, while Jake Gracey was named a Second Team All-American. In addition, six Saints received NCCAA All-Central Region recognition, highlighting the depth and talent of one of the best teams in program history.

The Saints went 1-13-3 in Gwynn's first season at the helm, which was also the program's first full season of soccer in eight years.

Gwynn, a former student-athlete at Gordon College, came to CBU after one season as assistant and lead technical analyst for the men's soccer program at Gordon College in Wenham, Mass.

A native of Apopka, Fla., Gwynn started his collegiate soccer playing career at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., before transferring to Gordon to play his final two seasons.

As a player at Gordon, he was a part of a Commonwealth Coast Conference championship and NCAA Division III national tournament team. Additionally, in his senior season he was awarded First Team All-CCC honors, First Team All-Region, and NCAA DIII All-American honors after finishing top 10 nationally in five offensive categories.

After college, Gwynn played with Chattanooga FC in NISA-Pro, making three appearances, and multiple other professional United Soccer League teams without making an appearance. He also spent time with semi-pro Mississippi Brilla in USL-2, a ministry based club who work with underprivileged youth in Jackson, MS. 

Gwynn graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Gordon in 2022.
