Central Bible University men's basketball will navigate a challenging 2026-27 schedule featuring six exhibition contests, matchups against NCAA Division I and II opponents and a 12-game Midwest Christian College Conference slate.

The Saints' 2026-27 schedule features opponents from the NCAA, NAIA, NCCAA and NJCAA levels, providing CBU with a diverse and challenging slate as it prepares for another run at the MCCC and NCCAA postseason.

Central opens the season Oct. 30-31 with two exhibition contests as part of the Orscheln Industries Classic in Moberly. The Saints will face Moberly Area Community College at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, before taking on Southwestern Illinois College at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The regular season officially tips off Nov. 3 when NAIA opponent Harris-Stowe State University visits Moberly for a 7 p.m. contest.

Two days later, CBU will travel to St. Charles, Missouri, for an exhibition against NCAA Division I Lindenwood University on Nov. 5. The Saints then travel to Hannibal-LaGrange University on Nov. 7 for their first regular-season road game.

Highlighting the rest of the exhibition slate are NCAA Division II Drury University on Nov. 17, NAIA Columbia College on Dec. 1, and NCAA Division II Truman State University on Jan. 1, 2027.

Postseason play begins Feb. 18 when the Saints travel to Joplin, Missouri, for the three-day Midwest Christian College Conference Tournament. The tournament runs through Feb. 20.

Central will then turn its attention to NCCAA postseason play with the Central Region Tournament scheduled for Feb. 24-26 at Union Adventist University in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The 2026-27 season will mark the 16th season at the helm for Central head coach Jack Defreitas and his 20th overall. 

The Saints are coming off a 14-14 campaign in 2025-26, including an 8-4 record in MCCC play. Central finished third in the conference standings and entered the final weekend of the regular season with an opportunity to force a three-way tie for the conference championship.
